The enormous range of sculptures coming from the invention of The Western Hat Series gave me works 20' h. to 12"- 4". It all started with the Rio Grande Restaurant on Mountain Ave. in Fort Collins (1980)with the Rio Sombrero Hat.
In this example two small sculptures were combined- The Greeley Awards to Donors of the Arts with the Stetson, all bronze, 12"h. 8"w. For a proposal of Art in Public Places to be 12'h. Sometimes beautiful works aren't chosen and politics win. ( Preparation includes more work than model making, estimates, fabrication, installation, ribbon ceremonies.)
