The structure in middle is a bronze sheet in the center with a patinated copper sheet frame, 5'x 6'; I used the center section as a printing plate to make monoprints. After the last print was made I valued the metal as it had been left with only meager amounts of ink and thought, this is too valuable to destroy, so I used it as an actual part of the final painting. The pieces on both sides were copper. I sprayed ceramic stain for colors over the patina paintings with an illusion of 3-Dimensionality to the colors. These pieces became highly illuminated with interior lighting and at night they were almost supernatural in-depth, colors and physical energy of mixed media and surface changes.
